Game Of Thrones star Maisie Williams has revealed how playing a schoolgirl in her new film The Falling helped her recapture her own lost school days. The 17-year-old actress – known to fans all over the world as tomboy warrior Arya Stark – left school before her GCSEs to star in the hit action fantasy TV show. In The Falling, set in 1969, Williams plays Lydia whose relationship with best friend Abbie (newcomer Florence Pugh) becomes strained when a mysterious case of mass hysteria hits their school. The Falling is written and directed by Carol Morley – who won critical acclaim for her 2011 drama-documentary film Dreams Of A Life, which told the true story of a young woman who died alone in her London bedsit and was not discovered until three years later.
