Gotham after season one, fans immediately began speculating on how she would exit the show. Would Fish get killed, or would she leave Gotham after failing in her mission to become the number one crime boss? And in tonight’s bloody season one finale, viewers finally learned exactly why she wouldn’t be around for the already-renewed season two: she’s dead! And since Smith made it clear that she was done with Gotham after her once year contract ended, it’s safe to say that Fish Mooney is officially out of the running for the head of Gotham’s crime business. That title officially goes to the Penguin now, as he declared himself the “King of Gotham” after killing Fish.
