The LA Bluegrass Situation is headed to the Greek Theatre on October 3rd for its fifth edition. The roots-music festival will include performances by Dawes, Punch Brothers, The Lone Bellow, Gregory Alan Isakov, Della Mae, Jonny Fritz, Sam Outlaw, and many more.
The LA Bluegrass Situation was conceived in 2010 by actor Ed Helms — better known in these parts as a banjo- and guitar-playing member of The Lonesome Trio — and Mark Flanagan, who founded Largo at the Coronet Theatre in West Hollywood. After a year off, the LA Bluegrass Situation was held downtown over two days at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in 2014.
