HBO’s Confirmation continues to assemble an impressive cast.
The Hollywood Reporter has learned, Jennifer Hudson, Greg Kinnear, and Jeffrey Wright have boarded the cast of the TV movie about Clarence Thomas’ Supreme Court confirmation hearings.
The film details the explosive 1991 Supreme Court nomination hearings which changed the way Americans think about sexual harassment, victims’ rights and modern-day race relations.
Hudson will play Angela Wright, who worked with Thomas at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and issued a key statement about Thomas’ comments about women.
Kinnear is set as then-Sen. Joe Biden; Jeffrey Wright will portray Charles Ogletree, who served as legal counsel to Hill during the hearings.
