Good news, Game of Thrones fans and cord-cutters: The HBO Now app is coming to Google Play.
Google executive Sundar Pichai announced on Thursday during its Google I/O developers conference that the popular HBO streaming service will now be available across any Android or iOS device using Cast. Users will be able to watch other HBO shows like True Detective and Silicon Valley, which makes this a big win for Google Play. Previously, HBO Now was exclusive to users of Apple devices and Optimum Cable customers, but soon anyone with a Chromecast or an Android device will be able to sign up for a subscription at some point this summer.
