Uzo Aduba recently answer some questions on Quora, exploring how binge watching on platforms such as Netflix has impacted television. The Orange is the New Black actress says, “I think being able to watch a completed story back to back is probably the greatest portion of the Netflix model. What really is useful about it is that it’s not only conducive to Netflix Original Programming. You can go and watch other types of programming too, whatever it is you want to watch on there. You can really watch the full arc and shape of a story when you’re watching episodes back-to-back. Having episodes broken up week after week is also great, but there’s something about being able to spend those hours watching the same show. What is also incredibly awesome is that it feels like Burger King. You can have it your way. Whatever way you want to watch it, you can watch it. That luxury is really great.”
