Sometimes it’s easy to forget that Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai is only 17. The young education activist is the subject of a new documentary, He Named Me Malala, directed by Davis Guggenheim. The film looks at Yousafzai’s family life, her rise as an icon and her fight to support education worldwide. It also explores the near-fatal terrorist attack she experienced in 2012, when a Taliban gunman shot her in the face for being an outspoken advocate of girls’ education.
