It’s hard to believe it’s been a decade since Carrie Underwood won the fourth season of American Idol.
Underwood commemorated the milestone yesterday by sharing a photo from the 2005 finale on Instagram, writing, “I’m forever grateful to American Idol for changing my life.”
And how about those ringlets?!
Before Idol, Underwood was just a 21-year-old from Oklahoma with a dream. Then she captured the judges’ attention at her audition with her rendition of Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me.”
Casually dressed in bleached bell bottoms and an off-the-shoulder hot pink top, Underwood admitted she had never even been on a plane before.
The artist can be found these days supplementing her glamourous looks with hockey jerseys to support her hubby, Mike Fisher, and casual yet polished workout gear, which she happened to design herself!
