Actors James Franco and Seth Rogen have reportedly pulled out of public appearances to promote their upcoming Sony Pictures film The Interview amid terrorism threats that the Sony hackers might target moviegoers who see the film, which opens Dec. 25. Franco and Rogen, who were scheduled to participate in a Q&A session hosted by BuzzFeed in New York City on Tuesday, are no longer doing press surrounding the film. The news comes just a few hours after the hackers claiming responsibility for the Sony attack — known as “The Guardians of Peace” — said moviegoers who choose to see the studio’s upcoming film in theaters would undergo a “bitter fate.”
