Noomi Rapace has paid tribute to the late James Gandolfini at the premiere of her new film The Drop at the London Film Festival. The mob drama co-stars Tom Hardy and features The Sopranos star, who died last June of a heart attack aged 51, as a loan shark. Rapace said: “To just meet him and get to know him a little bit was amazing. Because to discover that someone has been in the business for so long, and done so much great, amazing work, and still he was able to be so grounded and down to earth and real and respectful and nice to everybody – that was really beautiful to see.”
