Universal Pictures has extended Jason Bateman’s first-look producing deal through his Aggregate company through the end of 2017.
Bateman signed the initial deal in 2012. Aggregate and Bluegrass Films produced Melissa McCarthy’s “Identity Thief,” which grossed $139 million for Universal. Aggregate also produced Bateman’s directorial debut “Bad Words” and “The Family Fang,” which stars Bateman, Nicole Kidman and Christopher Walken and has been selected to screen at the Toronto Film Festival.
