According to the Oscar winner, Jennifer Lawrence will be parting ways with the X-Men saga following 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse.
Speaking with MTV, the 24-year-old actress has no qualms about making it be known that the upcoming superhero flick will be her last with the series.
Lawrence, who plays shape shifting Mystique, says without further elaboration that, “it is my last one, actually.”
Confirmation of Lawrence’s departure follows news that her ex-boyfriend and X-Men: Days of Future Past co-star, Nicholas Hoult, may also be hanging up his mutant costume for good.
The British actor, who plays Beast in the franchise, recently told E! News that X-Men: Apocalypse was also the last film on his contract.
Directed by Bryan Singer, X-Men: Apocalypse is due out May 2016.
