The Smashing Pumpkins’ personnel has been a revolving door in recent years, but a familiar face will be back behind the drum kit this summer. That’s when Billy Corgan’s band embarks on their End Times co-headlining tour with Marilyn Manson. Rolling Stone Magazine reports Jimmy Chamberlin, the fan-beloved drummer who appeared on the Pumpkins’ classic LPs, will return for his fourth stint with the band when the tour kicks off July 7th in Concord, California. Chamberlin was a founding member of Smashing Pumpkins. But the band fired the drummer following a drug-related incident in 1996 that resulted in the fatal overdose of keyboardist Jonathan Melvoin and Chamberlin’s arrest.
