Salma Hayek’s husband Francois-Henri Pinault may own the luxury fashion houses that dress Hollywood’s elite, but that doesn’t mean the actress didn’t mind Joan Rivers’ fashion take-downs.
Hayek told reporter at the Toronto Film Festival premiere of her new animated adaption of poet Kahlil Gibran’s The Prophet, “She’s an icon. It won’t be the same without her—red carpets will not be the same without her.” Hayek said of Rivers’ Fashion Police commentary, “It was of course OK. She invented a whole way of making fun a little bit of fashion. We’re going to miss her.”
