John McCain is heading back to Parks and Recreation, E! News has confirmed. The senator, who appeared in the fifth season premiere episode of the NBC comedy, will make a cameo in the seventh and final season. In his first appearance, McCain appeared with Amy Poehler’s Leslie Knope while she had a moment in a coat closet. Look for McCain to have scenes with Poehler’s character, who is now working for the National Parks Service, and Aubrey Plaza’s April Ludgate. Footage of McCain in “Parks” appeared in a new promo for the show’s final season. McCain is just one of many political figures to appear on Parks and Rec. In the same episode as McCain’s first appearance, Senators Barbara Boxer and Olympia Snowe appeared as themselves. Vice President Joe Biden also appeared as himself in a scene with Poehler, and Michelle Obama appeared in the season six finale as herself.
