Jurassic World is officially out in the theaters, but before you go see it can we tell you about this theory that’s floating around the Internet? We think it will make your movie-going experience a little bit more magical. This theory connects Chris Pratt’s character Owen to Jurassic Park in a really remarkable way. So do you remember the annoying little kid in the beginning of Jurassic Park who called the Velociraptors “not very scary” and said that they looked like “six-foot turkeys?” According to this theory, that little kid grows up to be…Owen, the raptor whisperer in Jurassic World! It makes sense. This kid was so changed after Dr. Grant’s lecture that he devoted his life to these raptors and now spends his days making sure they are respected. Owen even says in the movie: “I don’t control the raptors; it’s a relationship. It’s based on mutual respect.” The ages of the two actors are only a year apart, so that aspect of the theory more or less lines up. And even when asked the Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow did not debunk the theory.
