Jurassic World is getting an IMAX release as big as its dinosaurs.
As IMAX announced today, Jurassic World will set a worldwide record for an IMAX theater day-and-date release. The Jurassic Park follow-up will open across nearly 445 international IMAX screens starting June 10th, before landing on 364 U.S. IMAX screens on June 12h. With a combined total topping 800 screens, Jurassic World will put the previous record holder—2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2—squarely into extinction.
