Step aside, Angelina Jolie —there’s a new Maleficient in Hollywood! Kristin Chenoweth is set to tackle the iconic role of the Disney villain in Descendants, the Disney Channel’s highly anticipated upcoming original movie, the network announced on Thursday. The Tony and Emmy award winning Chenoweth is set to bump onscreen horns with Dove Cameron, who will tackle the role of Mal, Maleficient’s teenage daughter. The live-action adventure comedy is set to begin production in late May and will premiere on the Disney Channel in 2015.
