After an acclaimed stretch on the film festival circuit, a brief theatrical run and its HBO premiere, Montage of Heck will return to movie theaters this August. Abramorama will distribute the Brett Morgen-directed film at select cinemas starting August 7th. Montage of Heck has already booked engagements at New York’s IFC Center and Los Angeles’ ArcLight, as well as ArcLight Cinemas’ complexes around the country.
Montage of Heck uses never-before-seen home videos, recently unearthed audio recordings and new interviews with Courtney Love, Krist Novoselic and Cobain’s family to paint a new portrait of the Nirvana singer.
