It’s always special when you see two beautiful and talented women from the same gene pool, especially when that pool includes Lana Del Rey. For a recent feature for NYLON, the songstress interviewed her sister Chuck Grant about her work as a photographer. Lana Del Rey says that Grant has been photographing her for the past decade and that her music and her sister’s images work perfectly together.
Lana Del Rey said “She captures what I consider to be the visual equivalent of what I do sonically,” . The singer added that she has met many photographers during her career, but Grant’s “aesthetic and talent still stands out as being one of the most interesting and well developed.”
In the interview, Lana Del Rey asks Chuck Grant to describe her aesthetic, to which she replies, “My work is pretty graphic, and I like a flash. The image has to be beautiful and compelling, but I also incorporate humor into my photos.”
