Ben Foster plays Lance Armstrong in a new movie called “The Program,” and bears an uncanny resemblance to the fallen cyclist.
In an interview published in the U.K. newspaper The Telegraph, the 43-year-old Armstrong talks about how he feels he has been treated since his doping scandal. Years ago, Armstrong admitted to using banned performance-enhancing drugs. He was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles and a 2000 Olympic bronze medal.
Armstrong said, “I’m that guy everybody wants to pretend never lived. But it happened, everything happened.” He added,
“It will not be the case forever because it can’t be the case forever. That won’t work, people aren’t stupid.” According to E! News, ‘The Program’ also stars Lee Pace as Armstrong’s agent, while Dustin Hoffman also makes an appearance. The movie is expected to be released later this year.
