A year after her own big magazine cover moment, Laverne Cox has congratulated Caitlyn Jenner on her Vanity Fair cover, saying it feels like a new day when a trans person can present her authentic self to the world and be celebrated so universally. Writing on Tumblr, the Orange is the New Black actress says that while Jenner “looks amazing and is beautiful”, it’s her heart and soul and the way she let the world see her vulnerabilities that is most beautiful. The actress writes that we need diverse media representations of trans people, saying that most people will not have the privileges she and Jenner share.
