According to Variety, The Lord of the Rings star 56-year-old, Viggo Mortensen, has been offered the role of the main villain in next Bourne film.
Mortensen has been dodging big-budget Hollywood films ever since he finished Peter Jackson’s original Middle-Earth trilogy. He reportedly passed on roles in Man of Steel, Thor: The Dark World and even the opportunity to reprise his role as Aragorn in The Hobbit finale. Perhaps it is time for Viggo to make his return to mainstream studio films.
