Gaston has been found. Luke Evans is in talks to star in Disney’s live-action version of Beauty and the Beast as the handsome, narcissistic character. Emma Watson is playing Belle in the film, which will be directed by Bill Condon, who helmed The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1 and Part 2 . Evans most recently starred in The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies and Dracula Untold.
Evan Spiliotopoulos wrote the script with additional drafts by Steve Chbosky. Production on the tale of a beautiful young woman who meets cursed prince and helps him break the spell is slated for later in 2015.
