Disney is moving forward with a sequel to its live-action hit Maleficent, tapping Linda Woolverton to write the script.
Woolverton, who is in talks to pen the sequel, has become quite a major part of Disney’s live-action creation team. She wrote the script for the first Maleficent, which starred Angelina Jolie and earned a magical $758.4 million worldwide. She also wrote the script for the sequel Alice Through the Looking Glass, which stars Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp and Anne Hathaway.
