It’s official: Mariah Carey is taking over Sin City! The “Obsessed” singer got teary-eyed as she confirmed her residency at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas Thursday. Carey said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, “I’m going to do my first ever residency in Vegas at Caesars. This is a special event for me. And again, I have to hope that the fans will enjoy this cause I’m gonna be performing, which was kind of inspired by my album Number 1’s, and this is now the updated version with 18 of them. Hopefully other people will enjoy this. I’ve never done this before.” Ellen DeGeneres revealed that five-time Grammy Award winner will perform smashes like “We Belong Together,” “Visions of Love,” “Emotions,” “Fantasy,” “Dream Lover,” and “One Sweet Day,” and the diva announced that she will also perform “Don’t Forget About Us” and “Touch My Body,” among other hits. She said, “It’s a new chapter for me, and I’m so excited.”
