Marion Cotillard is in negotiations to star opposite Brad Pitt in the untitled World War II project from Paramount and New Regency.
The movie will see Pitt and Cotillard as assassins who fall in love during a mission in Casablanca to kill a German ambassador.The duo marry, but domestic bliss is cut short when Pitt’s character, a French-Canadian, is informed his wife is a double agent working for the German government and he must kill her.
Robert Zemeckis is directing the romantic drama with a script written by Steven Knight and is being produced by Graham King, Steve Starkey and Zemeckis.
The movie is expected to shoot in the new year in Casablanca, London and Canada.
