One of Boston’s own is taking on a story close to his heart. Wahlberg, a native of the city, is expected to star as Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis, a source close to production tells Mashable. Davis was tasked with bringing together law enforcement agencies from every level to coordinate a search for the suspected Boston Marathon bombers, later identified as brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev. The movie will be based on Davis’ first-hand account of the April 15 event, in which three people were killed and more than 250 injured.
