Yesterday Marvel announced the actor who will play the next Spider-Man, and today comes the backlash. Tom Holland , who was fairly unknown before this week, will take on the role of Peter Parker for both the Spider-Man reboot and the upcoming Captain America: Civil War . He seems like a perfectly nice kid, but his casting really struck a nerve with Marvel fans. Like, really struck a nerve. Concerned citizens took to Twitter, naturally, to voice their very strong opinions about what they believe is a total travesty.
