The latest update to Marvel’s official Ant-Man website has confirmed that Hank Pym—and Scott Lang’s—Ant-Man suit will indeed be powered by Pym Particles. The Pym Particles, a longt-time Marvel comics staple invented by Pym, shrink the distance between atoms. This–according to comics’ liberal take on science—is what allows Pym’s suits to shrink down to insect sizes.
While many assumed that the same particles would power the live-action Ant-Man suit, Marvel Studios did not officially confirm their existence until this latest update.
