Matthew Broderick, the two-time Tony winner who appeared in last season’s hit “It’s Only a Play,” will round out the cast of “Sylvia,” the new production of the A.R. Broderick, who’ll play a dog owner in the middle of a mid-life crisis in the play, joins a project that’s already closely associate with his wife, Sarah Jessica Parker — she starred in the show’s world premiere Off Broadway in 1995. Comedy was hot on Broadway last season, with “It’s Only a Play” and “Fish in the Dark” dominating the straight-play sales charts with the help of starry casts.
