It’s finally time to meet the parents on The Mindy Project. E! News has learned exclusively that House of Cards star Sakina Jaffrey and Royal Pains’ Ajay Mehta have been cast as Mindy Kaling’s TV parents.
In the season three finale, Danny embarked on a journey to meet Mindy’s parents once and for all, with the last scene showing him at the door. Then Fox canceled the show, but Hulu rescued it . And now here we are, with Mindy’s parents finally coming to The Mindy Project.
Jaffrey’s other TV credits include Sleepy Hollow, Third Watch, Madam Secretary and Girls. Mehta is a sitcom veteran with roles on Modern Family, Anger Management, New Girl and more.
