First, they made a Mortal Kombat movie.
Now, it’s Rampage’s turn — but it could be starring The Rock, so maybe fans will actually get a little excited. If you don’t remember Rampage, it was a Midway Arcade classic where you’d control up to three monsters as they destroyed everything in sight.
You’d smash buildings, swat down helicopters and devour humans — along with a few hamburgers — all in the name of a high score.
And now The Hollywood Reporter states Dwayne Johnson’s name is attached to an adaptation aimed for a 2016 release, along with New Line and producer Beau Flynn. If you’re confused as to how Rampage, which has no human stars or plot, will become a movie, just remember: a Tetris adaptation is still in the works. Considering how great of a year Johnson is having, this could conceivably be a lot more fun.
