National Geographic Channel is going to battle.
The network is developing a new limited series centered on the final hours of the Vietnam War from Tom Fontana and Barry Levinson, Nat Geo Channels CEO Courteney Monroe announced at the Television Critics Association press tour Wednesday.
Last Men Out takes place during the last 36 hours of the Vietnam when the American defense is reduced to a single unit of 63 marines. Those marines are tasked with defending the U.S. embassy. The project marks the latest collaboration for Fontana and Levinson, who have worked together on Homicide: Life on the Street, Oz, Cooper and most recently Borgia.
