Lemony Snicket’s 13-novel children’s series follows siblings Violet, Klaus, ad Sunny Baudelaire after the death of their parents. They are put in the custody of Count Olaf, who seeks to acquire the children’s inheritance.
Though the trailer is only 35 seconds long, the video gives fans plenty to ponder. There’s a newspaper with a headline about the “Baudelaire Tragic Fire,” two tickets to “The Marvelous Marriage”, a book titled “Mushroom Minutiae”, and a recurring eye symbol.
The cast for the Netflix original series has not yet been announced and it’s not due to debut until 2016.
