Nightcrawler , for which the actor lost a noticeable amount of weight ( and some blood when he broke a mirror while filming a scene ), co-stars Bill Paxton and was written and directed by Dan Gilroy . The Open Road film will get its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September.
