There are few things in this world Nick Offerman can’t do. The Parks and Recreation star is so good at living, he wrote a book on the subject. But alas, as the actor/carpenter laments in a new song, he’s unable to drink whiskey while strumming his six-string, and doctors say giving him a third arm is too risky. “My Tales of Whisky” is Offerman’s ode to his favorite libation, but as the song and its video (which arrives via the beverage company Diageo) show, there are necessary limits to his love. Of course there’s no drinking allowed while working in the woodshop — “So I put down jig and imbibe in a swig,” he croons — and just as it’s a terrible idea to drink and drive, no one should ever drink and ride a horse. As he rides off into the sunset, he croons, he sings that spilling scotch on your crotch is a surefire recipe for disaster.
