Just a day following Donald Sterling’s expulsion from professional basketball and the controversy surrounding his alleged racist comments, Oprah’s spokesperson confirms she is “in discussions” to “make a bid for the Los Angeles Clippers should the team become available.” Oprah spoke out about the controversial Clippers owner Tuesday, telling CBS’ This Morning, “I’m waiting to see what they’re going to do, because something has to be done… It feels like a plantation mentality in the 21st century, [and] in 2014, it just doesn’t fit.”
