When a movie is centered on its music, you have to wonder which songs the cast sang in order to ultimately snag their roles. E! News caught up with the talented cast of Pitch Perfect 2 and found out what musical numbers they chose to win over the casting directors, but some of their answers may surprise you.
Two members of the second installment’s Das Sound Machine took their own approach, with Flula Borg creating his own sound for his big debut while Birgitte Sorensen went with a classic.
While Adam Devine, apparently missed the memo about preparing a musical number because he didn’t realize that Pitch Perfect was about acapella groups.
And who said he wasn’t a method actor?
Pitch Perfect 2 will be hitting theaters May 15, 2015.
