Documentarian filmmaker Jon Schnepp has released the first 10 minutes of The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened? The documentary goes behind-the-scenes to find out what exactly went wrong with Tim Burton’s Superman Lives franchise reboot from the 1990s. The footage is comprised of reactions to concept art and behind-the-scenes photos from the film from Superman fans – including All-Star Superman writer Grant Morrison – a story about how Superman Returns director Bryan Singer used Superman Lives as a boogey man when the studio would get on his back, and a tale of how Kevin Smith became involved with the film as a writer.
