Three more months is a long time to wait for your next dose of alternative-universe medieval sex, backstabbing, front stabbing and head stabbing, among other types of gory “Game of Thrones” death dealing. Fortunately, HBO is helping us to scratch that itch with a special behind-the-scenes mini-documentary set to premiere February 8. The special, titled “Game of Thrones: A Day in the Life,”is a half-hour show that covers a single day of shooting from season 5 across three different countries — in Northern Ireland, Croatia and Spain. The show looks to highlight just how elaborate and complex the production of the show is, involving multiple units shooting simultaneously with cast and crew numbering into the hundreds.
