Exactly one week after being arrested for assaulting a groundskeeper conducting repairs on his house, Rick Ross has been released from jail. According to TMZ, Ross posted a $2 million bond for his release earlier today. The label boss scrounged together the funds from three different sources: a million dollars in equity from a Georgia property formerly owned by Evander Holyfield, $500,000 from a bail bondsman, and another half a mill in cash.
Ross is still facing charges of assault, kidnapping, and aggravated battery stemming from an incident earlier this month in which he reportedly pistol-whipped a live-in groundskeeper for inviting friends over for a birthday celebration. The MMG head will have to wear an ankle-monitor now that he’s out and his lawyers offered up the entirety of the Georgia property listed in the bond to the county if he intimidates or threatens any witnesses to the crime.
