Rita Ora has opened up about her last-minute withdrawal from the Teen Choice music awards, claiming that Calvin Harris prevented her planned performance of the song they recorded together. The Scottish producer, who is Ora’s ex-boyfriend, allegedly withheld permission for I Will Never Let You Down to be included in the show. Ora told radio, “I was supposed to perform, [But Calvin] wrote and produced the song … [and] he owns the rights to it … so [he] has to approve anything TV-wise … He didn’t approve the Teen Choice Awards.”
