Rita Ora has had a mountain of success in the entertainment industry over the last year, in the UK and the US. Aside from working on her second album, Ora is a judge on the hit show The Voice UK and she had a part in what was perhaps the most sensational erotic flick as of late, Fifty Shades of Grey. as Christian Grey’s sister Mia.
Not to mention she’s worked with a diverse range of fashion labels, most recently collaborating with Adidas Originals, and was even nominated for an Oscar this year for her song “Grateful” (which she performed at the ceremony).
However, all of her career achievements in the entertainment and fashion industries didn’t just happen overnight. As the magazine’s April 2015 cover star, Ora confessed to InStyle UK that she’s heard a lot of “no”.
Ora said, “I’ve been told ‘no’ so many times in my career. It doesn’t mean it’s over… I can remember every single ‘no’ I’ve been told in my life. They do not leave my brain. But they build you up.”
