Sam Smith’s vocal cord ailment has gotten worse and he is headed to surgery, which has prompted the cancellation of more concerts.
The 22-year-old “Stay With Me” crooner has announced last week that he had had to cancel his Australia tour after a “small hemorrhage” was discovered on his vocal cords. He took to Instagram on Thursday to give fans an update about his ailment. Smith said, “by doing this in 8 weeks time I’m gonna be able to sing like never before so it’s worth it. I am so sorry to all. Dreading the next month thou, I can’t speak for THREE WEEKS after the op.”
