Everything is getting a revival or reboot nowadays, from Heroes and 24 to The Comeback to potentially The X-Files. But what about Buffy? The beloved series from Joss Whedon starred Sarah Michelle Gellar and ran from 1997-2003 on The WB and UPN. Buffy the Vampire Slayer still has a cult following today. In fact, the character’s adventures continue in a Whedon-sanctioned comic book series. But what about on the big screen? In an interview with E! News, Gellar replied, “What people don’t realize—they forget Buffy was a failed movie. Buffy didn’t work as a movie.”
