At the star-studded Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special on Sunday, Sarah Palin had taken part in a sketch in which
Jerry Seinfeld had chatted with several famous members of the audience. The 51-year-old former vice presidential candidate and ex-Alaska governor was seated right beside Taylor Swift , so close that the two women’s shoulders appeared to be touching.
In a photograph of the audience, the 25-year-old pop star’s facial expression appeared…well, like that of a person who had just been assigned a middle seat on a 17-hour flight. During the sketch, Seinfeld pretended to confuse Sarah with Tina Fey, who had famously played the politician when she was running in the 2008 U.S. election.
