Mae Whitman may be all grown up now. But the actress, who recently wrapped a six-season run on Parenthood and stars in CBS Films’ high-school movie The DUFF, got her start playing the child of characters played by some of Hollywood’s biggest names. Whitman had parts in memorable ’90s movies Independence Day, One Fine Day, Hope Floats and When a Man Loves a Woman. Live With Kelly and Michael hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan wondered on Thursday’s show: can she remember the names of the characters she played? Ripa and Strahan put Whitman to the test, asking her if she remembers the names of the daughters of characters played by Bill Pullman, Sandra Bullock, Meg Ryan and Andy Garcia and George Clooney.
