Steve Tisch is gunning for a new kind of EGOT. Sex Tape — the 2014 comedy he produced, starring Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel, that was annihilated by critics — was shortlisted in six categories for the 35th annual Golden Raspberry Awards, best known as the Razzies. Tisch said, “In a perverse way, I hope we win. Because if we win, I will have two Super Bowl trophies, two Raspberrys and an Oscar. I am just missing the Nobel Prize.”
Noting that he’s not offended, the New York Giants co-owner says his campaign message is short and sweet, saying: “See the movie.” As for his opinion of the film? Tisch, referring to the $87 million haul abroad compared to $38 million in the U.S, said “The movie was a lot of fun and did extremely well overseas. It was harmless.” Razzies will be doled out Feb. 21.
