Southland and Outside Providence star Shawn Hatosy has booked a recurring role on AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead, Deadline reports.
Set in Los Angeles and set near the start of the zombie outbreak that devastated the world of the parent series The Walking Dead, Fear The Walking Dead focuses on new characters, unrelated to storylines going on in Alexandria over on The Walking Dead.
Hatosy, who is now the third Southland star to book a major role in a comic book TV series, “will play a well-intentioned but out of his element military man with a soulful disposition,” according to the report. Hatosy’s Southland co-star Ben McKenzie currently plays James Gordon on Gotham, while Michael Cudlitz plays Abraham Ford on The Walking Dead.
